The Winter Yoga Recharge
Teacher: Lara Heimann
Go south of the border and leave your winter blues behind! Join Lara on her second trip to the magical land of Xinalani and find out what life is like when you breathe jungle air, dine on scrumptious meals while overlooking the sea, and practice energizing yoga in two magnificent studios.
Each day will be filled with two yoga classes and any number of excursions or activities, including just kicking up your feet on a beach chaise. The yoga practice will aim to deepen your connection to your strength, breath, and playfulness- whether in a handstand or a seated twist. The elixir truly takes hold when you find yourself letting go of daily stresses and worries and delving into the island life of healing and pleasure! By treating yourself to a week of empowerment, relaxation, and fun, you can return to your life recharged and bright.
About the Teacher
Movement has always been Lara-s favorite form of medicine, beginning with her early years as an athlete, dancer, and aerobics instructor and eventually with her passion for yoga. She began practicing and teaching yoga in 1996, after she had graduated from Duke University with a Bachelors degree in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy and a Master in Physical Therapy. She completed her 200 hour Yoga Alliance certification in 1999 and continued her yoga studies in more advanced teacher trainings. These experiences, combined with her love of anatomy and creative movement have led her to develop her own style, YogaStream.
In addition to her weekly YogaStream classes, workshops, and retreats, Lara serves as a Lululemon ambassador. 2012 marks the inaugural year of her YogaStream school, a 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified program located in Princeton, NJ. Off the mat, Lara is a certified natural foods chef and holistic health counsellor. She enjoys spending her free time reading, traveling, and playing outdoors with her husband and two adorable kids!
