Set to the majestic backdrop of a beachfront jungle paradise, this retreat will feature a beautifully designed program of daily all levels classes in a variety of complimentary practices.
Morning meditation will be followed by challenging, sweaty and invigorating adventures into Vinyasa yoga, locomotion, hand balancing or body weight strength training. Evening practice will offer deeply nourishing experiences through yin yoga, restorative yoga or Myofascial release techniques.

About the Teachers
Andre is a dedicated student of human movement. His interest in athletics, movement, health and fitness began at a very early age competing at high levels in various sports as a youth. This pursuit of athletics eventually earned him two-time All Canadian, MVP and Hall of Fame honours as a student-athlete at Wilfrid Laurier University and a Grey Cup Championship and Team Captain designation as a professional football player with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL. He has trained with some of the most elite athletes, trainers and coaches across North America. Since retiring from the rigorous and gruelling nature of competition he has continued to explore and share in different disciplines of practice and movement including yoga, Olympic lifting, gymnastics, parkour, kettlebell and bodyweight training.
Andre’s journey into the practice and art of yoga began early in his football career. This journey inward eventually led Andre to the Yandara Yoga Institute in Baja Sur, Mexico where he completed his first intensive teacher-training program under the guidance of Craig Perkins and Allison Eaton. He is inspired by and continues to study yoga and the dharma with his teachers and mentors Poep Sa – Frank Jude Boccio (Mindulness Yoga), Laura Sygrove (Executive Director, New Leaf Yoga Foundation) and Shoken – Michael Stone (Centre of Gravity). Andre believes that yoga is about relationships and community building and strives to utilize his teachings to foster transformation, well-being and peace.
Andre brings a focused energy and a diverse set of expertise and experience to his teaching. He works with clients one-on-one, teaches group classes and hosts workshops. He places a strong emphasis on body-mind-heart integration, mindfulness and the power of movement to heal.
Andre is a co-founder of Spirit Loft, along with his wife, Catalina Moraga.
Catalina is 500 E-RYT Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher and co-founded Spirit Loft with her husband, Andre Talbot in the summer of 2011.
As a gymnast, she spent her formative years bounding off any surface she could find. She has a life long love affair with movement and credits yoga and meditation with teaching her to unleash the power of stillness. After years of dedicated personal practice, she felt inspired to learn how to share the practices of yoga with others. She is ever grateful to all her esteemed teachers for their generosity, exacting encouragement and compassion; Annie Carpenter, Pat Harada Linfoot, Scott Davis, Poep Sa – Frank Jude Boccio, Shoken – Michael Stone and Laura Sygrove.
Catalina believes in a balanced practice, one that is steeped in intelligent alignment, discipline, creativity, joy and deep rest. She enjoys encouraging students to explore their edges with skill and find resilience, connection and insight both on and off the mat. Ever inspired by the transformational effects of yoga on the body-mind and the power of the practice to foster compassion and community, Catalina is honored to share the practice.
