with Laurie Baron & Susan Walsh
Our yoga retreat is designed to offer students the opportunity to reconnect with themselves through their yoga practice. Our mission is to create daily power and restorative yoga flows that allow students to set a pause button on their busy lives and truly connect to their inner selves. Becoming mindful and present to savor every breath and letting go of all of life’s stressors. We hope that students leave the retreat changed; feeling refreshed and stronger in body, mind and spirit. Namaste.

About the Teachers
As a high energy & active person, Laurie found Yoga after many years of teaching high impact classes, bootcamps & kickboxing. ” My body was sore & I was experiencing various injuries. Yoga started out to be therapeutic physically but has given me so much more! Yoga allows me to reconnect to my inner child, to laugh, to play, to be silly, to stumble, to fall & begin again.” Laurie’s teaching style is playful, inspiring her students to do their best, listen to their body & be present. “I practice Yoga because it gets me outta my head and opens my heart to connect to my true essence allowing me to connect to all beings with an open heart.”
Susan found yoga after running the DC Marathon which resulted in foot trouble. The podiatrist suggested yoga and a strict break from running altogether. As a nurse with a stressful life, it was impossible to imagine life without running. Immediately she was impressed with the strength, balance and flexibility found in hot power yoga. She also enjoyed the continual challenge and loved how at ease she felt after each and every class. “Practicing yoga expanded my passion for the poses and it has been life changing for me. Through consistent practice, I have overcome many health issues and feel a significant improvement not only my physical body, but in my spiritual well-being. I love teaching others how important it is to remain in the present, to express compassion and to respect the body through the sacred practice of yoga on and off of the mat.” Namaste
