Marine Turtles Sanctuary
One or twice a year Olive Ridley Turtles (Lepidochelys Olivacea) nest in Xinalani Retret Beach. Females nest approximately 100 eggs and the incubation takes 40 to 60 days.Their common name in Spanish is Golfina and it is one of the smallest species of sea turtles.
Every season (from June to December) Xinalani invites the guests to know more about these endangered turtle species and participate in the hatchlings release to the Pacific Ocean.
