Awaken To Your Essence: A New Year’s Retreat

Awaken To Your Essence: A New Year’s Retreat

From December 29, 2018 to January 04, 2019

What awakens within us when we take the time to pause? Come to the ocean, to practice in an intimate community of truth seekers and like-minded individuals.  Devote a full week in the sun, the sand, the jungle, and on the mat.  Eat clean organic meals prepared with local cuisine. Sleep cradled between the jungle and the ocean, and connect with your source to recharge, create, dream, practice, heal and listen.

Accessible only by boat, and nestled between the ocean and the sea, lies the stunning Eco-Village, Xinalani (shee-nah- lah-nee) Retreat Centre, located just 30 minutes from Puerto Vallarta, on the Pacific Coast of Mexico.  Come, nourish your body and gain clarity in your mind as we explore our heart’s intention (sankalpa) for the coming year. Awaken to the transformative power of the pause when we begin to align ourselves with the rhythms of the natural world. Now is the time, what are you waiting for?

A Day In Your Yoga Retreat

• Mornings: Wake up to stunning views of the sea and sunrise meditations on the beach, followed by a morning snack of coffee, tea, granola and fruit.  In our morning vinyasa class we will subtly explore our interior world through the relationship of yoga asana, the chakras, and the elements of the natural world. Classes are accessible to all levels, and everything is optional. This is retreat, and you are encouraged to explore your boundaries, and honor your natural rhythms. Remember, “an advanced practice is anything that brings you closer to yourself.” –Donna Farhi

• Afternoons: Choose what nourishes you. Xinalani has many wonderful excursions to offer, from whale watching, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, waterfall treks, snorkeling, kayaking, surfing, paddle boarding, horseback riding and more. Or simply choose to relax on the beach,  by the pool, or spend some time reading and journaling in a hammock. There are also many opportunities to indulge yourself in an array of holistic spa and beauty treatments on the property.

• Evenings: Witness stunning sunsets over the Pacific nightly. We gather again just before sunset to share in sangha (intentional community), to reflect, listen, learn and restore our bodies and minds. These practices will vary daily depending on the focus that day. Some days we will be meet by the ocean, some in the studio for restorative practices or thai yoga massage.Following our sunset session is dinner on the terrace, a three-course gourmet meal featuring inspired and traditional Mexican recipes. After dinner stroll on the beach or join friends by the bonfire. Since we’ll be there on New Year’s Eve, Xinalani will host a special event the evening of December 31th for all those staying at the resort.
