James Tenconi

James discovered Bikram yoga when a girlfriend suggested it would be good for his flexibility. It took him a dozen classes to embrace the heat, how to breathe and the in-class instruction, but he got it. In fact so much so that in the spring of 2014, he trained with Bikram Choudhury himself and became a certified Bikram instructor.

“How yoga makes one look is microscopic compared to the gigantic sensations of how yoga makes one feel,” says James.

Inside out, bones to the skin, fingertips to the toes, he believes yoga is medicine to heal, a tool to help people learn to move efficiently, and be pain and injury free. It’s also a vehicle that enables us to love ourselves unconditionally and then, in turn, love others even more. Those many benefits are increased exponentially when you also consider how you fuel our body. That’s why, through his business, Tenco Movement, James coaches people to combine movement and nourishment to achieve their desired physical results. During this informative week he’ll share that expertise through informal chats on nutrition techniques and strategies to optimize performance.
