The Nia Technique

Kelle Rae- Movement as Medicine, my motto! My purpose is to inspire my students to live wildly satisfying lives. Helping others to fall in love with themselves through the gifts of The Nia Technique is my greatest passion. Kelle Rae Oien is a Nia faculty trainer, first-degree black belt, Nia faculty choreographer, was the 2013 International Nia teacher of the year and is trained and certified in every one of Nia’s individual modalities. Kelle is also the proud co-owner of StudioNia Santa Fe, the Southwest’s center for Nia with over 30 Nia classes weekly. She has dedicated her life to self-mastery, through the discovery of healing through movement.

Jill Factor

Power Yoga

Jill Factor is a Nia Faculty Trainer and certified Power Yoga instructor. She has enjoyed 15 years of teaching Nia and 6 years of teaching yoga in the Boulder area. Jill brings a high energy, dynamism and somatically-skilled cueing to her classes. She is a teacher of conscious movement and will inspire your creativity while pushing you to your next level of fitness - mindfully, with a focus on pleasure in the body. “I have always loved to move my body in an expressive way. To share the joy and pleasure of living in a body that seeks pleasure over pain and to grow older in a healthy vibrant body is a gift I love sharing”.

Seeding Your Practice

In the native pre-Hispanic language, Xinalani means “seeds”.

Each day we’ll seed our practice with a personal theme to drop into a facet of our self-exploration. We will explore this theme throughout the day with opportunities to journal and share points-of-view in roundtable discussions over dinner.

Our yoga practices will be a unique variety of styles, including vinyasa, shadow, restorative and yin. Each day’s theme will awaken different parts of your physical body and stimulate particular chakras to drop deeply within your experience.

Our Pilates sessions are designed to empower all levels, from beginner to experienced practitioners, and will explore proper technique to develop truly deep core connections, both physically and energetically.

Many past participants have seen their inversion and arm balances improve, as well as freeing them from back pain and digestive challenges.

Each day’s seeded theme will extend into your leisure hours. There will be ample time for exploration, journaling, playing in the water, siesta in the sun and daily excursions.
