Join us for an empowering and fun-filled week at the gorgeous Xinalani Resort. We will be immersed in daily Stand Up Paddleboard and Yoga Clinics designed to awaken your physical, mental, emotional and energetic bodies. We will start the week on our yoga mats in the lower energy centers creating a strong foundation as we also begin building strong SUP safety and basic paddle skills on the water. As the days continue, we will discover new insights about ourselves and our energy bodies as we explore and challenge ourselves on our mats and on the water. This program is designed to set everyone up for success by building skills safely and mindfully while also challenging notions of what you believe is possible. Expect to be amazed and to discover deep insights about who you are, where you get stuck and what you need to move forward. We will invoke all the elements (Sun, Sea, Sand, Steam) to clear, heal and inspire the soul. On this special journey of self-discovery expect to be pampered by Xinalani staff and led by experienced teachers in the studio and on the water. We can’t wait to see you!

Kim Thomas

Kim loves to teach and create an atmosphere of success. learning and empowerment in all her classes. She has been sharing her infectious passion for Yoga and Stand-Up Paddleboarding with students since 2012 when she launched Brown Dog Paddleboard Co. Kim has vast experience in the water teaching all student levels in all conditions. She has been able to create an amazing system of skill and confidence building that empowers even the most reluctant paddler while also challenging an intermediate paddler with more refined stroke technique. As well as having a passion for SUP, Kim is also an experienced yoga student and teacher. She has taught over 1,000 yoga classes including Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin, Gentle and all the above on the water outside and in the pool. She weaves a positive empowering philosophy into everything she does and allows the seasons, times and elements to guide the lesson. Kim recently added SUP Teacher Trainings to her offerings and is able to share certify future SUP, SUP Yoga and SUP Fitness Instructors through Paddle Into Fitness. Her certifications include: Level 2 WPA Certified Paddleboard Instructor, Certified Master Paddle Into Fitness Instructor, E-200RYT/ 500RYT.

Jess Parker

Jess is a California native who grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where the ocean water can be cold, rough and intimidating. She discovered stand up paddling over seven years ago and fell in love with the sport. For Jess SUP is an immediate way to get out – on the water and in nature. Each day on the water is different, presenting new challenges and beauty surrounded by the stunning, urban-aquatic environment of the SF Bay. Jess started 510-Waterline in 2016 with her paddle partner, Mara Stonefield. Together they teach SUP Introduction, SUP Yoga and SUP Fitness classes on the SF Bay. Jess completed her Yoga 200 RYT at CorePower in 2015. She holds World Paddle Association certifications as a SUP Fitness, SUP Yoga and SUP Level 1 Instructor. Jess also has her Pilates Mat 1 certification from Balanced Body. When Jess is not on the water she spends her time in the ceramic studio. She is a studio potter and teaches throwing at the Potter’s Studio in Berkeley, California.

> SUP Clinics: The Stand Up Paddleboard clinics will mostly be in the early morning when the water is calm. We will introduce a lesson and practice drills followed by one on one instruction and free paddle time practice time to integrate. We will cultivate stability and confidence every day as we begin to embody a strong skill set on the water. Two of our clinics will include a Paddle/Snorkel/Picnic Excursion and Sunset Paddle with Bonfire.

> Yoga Workshops: Yoga each day will focus on an energy center or chakra. We will discuss what this center represents in our every day and how to clear, support and use it for our highest good. Workshops will be interactive, informative and designed to interest all participants. We will use traditional yoga techniques of asana, pranayama, meditation, mudra, mantra, reflection and yoga nidra to access and learn about these centers.

All skill sets and experience levels are welcome but we do ask that you are physically active, comfortable in the water and a good swimmer. “SUP activities will be water, weather, and individual ability permitting to ensure everyone’s safety.”
