Bikram, Vinyasa and Yin! Tropical Trio in Mexico

From February 01 to 08, 2020

Escape to a lush jungle oasis on the Banderas Bay.  Dip into the water at your private sandy beach.  Accessible only by boat, this secluded paradise will transcend you.

Take two yoga classes daily (Bikram, Vinyasa or Yin) in either the new heated yoga studio or the palm-thatched, ocean view studio.

Dine alfresco on fresh, local cuisine, lovingly prepared by the chef with any food preference in mind (vegan, gluten-free, etc) Anticipate a week filled with fun and adventure from swimming with dolphins to kayaking.   Or take it slow and relax poolside with a good book.  A deep tissue massage at the spa will melt away stress.  When the day is done,  slumber off to the ocean waves in your beautiful treetop bungalow.  Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, this all-levels retreat will leave you feeling recharged, rejuvenated and clear-minded.  Take time to nourish your heart and soul, you deserve it!

Judy Louie

Yoga Teacher

Yoga has been my lifesaver for over 20 years.  My practice has changed from the time I started in 1995.  As I gracefully age, my practice has become such a sanctuary where I honor my body and mind, move with purpose and allow the practice to consume me.  My gratitude goes to my teachers Bikram, Rajashree and Emmy Cleaves as well as the notable teachers Julie Gudmestad, Ana Forrest, Baba Hari Das, Baron Baptiste, John Friend, Bhavani Maki, John Friend, Paul Grilley, and my students.   My well-rounded knowledge brings insight and experience to my Bikram classes. My focus is to meet you where you are.  Through guidance, proper alignment in your own body, and understanding, I will safely take you to your next level!

Each body and person is unique, through my years of study and practice, I have gained valuable knowledge and insight.  My teaching of the Bikram Method supports the practice and the benefits that millions have received all over the world.  I am true to the Bikram Yoga Classic sequence and hope to share it with you."

In 2000 Judy opened Bikram Yoga Kauai, the first Bikram Yoga Studio on Kauai. She sold the studio in 2010 and continues to lead week-long yoga retreats to Hawaii and Mexico.   She currently resides in Portland, Oregon.  Judy's classes are taught for beginners and intermediate students.  She teaches from her training, experience, and body knowledge from being a massage therapist in Kauai and yoga devotee.  She understands the sequence, subtle and physical body and will give you an insight into your practice.  There are always participants that join the retreat who have NEVER done yoga.  They leave with a new sense of self, confidence, and appreciation for the practice.  Her passion for yoga, compassion, and human connection will put you at ease; while her positive attitude and nurturing spirit will assist you in becoming present and energized.  Judy's classes will safely guide you.  Come join us!!

Meg Long

Yoga Teacher

Meg Long began practicing yoga in 2003 while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kenya, East Africa. She found the meditative aspect of yoga helped to maintain her mental well-being while she worked with high-risk populations in extremely stressful environments. Throughout her career in the field of Public Health, yoga continues to be a strong foundation for staying motivated, focused, and healthy. Her love of helping others through difficult times led to a transition into teaching, initially through trauma-informed yoga for community members recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. She also found that the meditative aspect of yoga helps with both emotional and physical healing. Through the Bikram series, Meg healed her torn rotator cuff without the aid surgery. Meg teaches the Hot 26, Yin, Hatha, Bikyasa, The Rocket, and leads a yearly yoga retreat in Quimixto, Mexico. She also runs the New Mexico State University Social Services program and Aggie Cupboard food pantry. In addition, she teaches several courses for the Department of Public Health Sciences at NMSU and Dona Ana Community College.
